A telephone conversation took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which they exchanged views on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the Iranian nuclear issue.

A statement issued by the Kremlin’s press office stated that Putin and Netanyahu “exchanged comprehensive views on the situation in the Middle East, including the development of the situation in the Gaza Strip in the context of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the exchange of prisoners and detainees.”

In addition, the two leaders touched on the status of the Iranian nuclear program and discussed ways to enhance stability in Syria.

It is worth noting that on October 6, Putin and Netanyahu discussed by telephone the developments in the Middle East and finding a solution to the crisis in the Gaza Strip.

The two sides also reviewed US President Donald Trump’s plan regarding settling the situation in the Gaza Strip, and the Russian President reaffirmed his country’s position on the settlement.

According to a Kremlin statement, Russia and Israel expressed a common interest in working to find diplomatic solutions to the crisis related to the Iranian nuclear program.
