وصول خاصية "دردشات الطرف الثالث" لمستخدمي واتساب

In a move aimed at complying with the European Digital Markets Act, WhatsApp has launched a new feature for its users in EU countries. This feature enables them to exchange messages with users of other messaging applications, in response to the new interoperability regulations.

This feature is known as “third-party chats,” and it allows communication between different applications while maintaining a high level of encryption to protect privacy. It can be easily accessed through the settings menu and then the account section.

Currently, the new feature only supports the “BirdyChat” application, with plans to add more applications once they meet the security and encryption standards set by WhatsApp. These chats allow sending texts, photos, videos, documents, and voice messages, while some features such as stickers and disappearing messages are not yet supported in conversations between different applications.

The new update is available to “iOS” and Android users within EU countries. Currently, chats are limited to individual conversations, but there are future plans to support group conversations. The application allows users to choose between a unified inbox for all messages or a separate inbox for third-party application messages.

WhatsApp emphasized that privacy will remain a top priority in this new feature, and advised users to review the privacy policies of other applications they use to understand how they handle data.
