
The movement clarified in a statement that it agreed with Egypt to form a committee to administer Gaza, consisting of eight members, including a woman, headed by “Director of the Palestinian NGO Network, Amjad al-Shawa,” but Israel disrupted the activation of this part of the agreement.
Hamas called on mediators to pressure Israel to start the second phase of the “Gaza agreement,” stressing its full readiness to cooperate in this regard.
In a related context, media outlets quoted the movement’s leader, “Ismail Radwan,” as saying that Hamas informed the mediators of its readiness to withdraw its fighters from the areas controlled by the Israeli army inside the Strip, in order to pave the way for advancing the agreed-upon political and humanitarian track.
