A delegation from the “World Bank” visited the Tyre region, headed by the Executive Director of the Bank, Abdul Aziz Al-Mulla, where they inspected the city and several towns in the Tyre district that were severely damaged during the 66-day war.
The delegation also visited a number of UNIFIL positions in the Naqoura area, then headed to Nabatieh, where they were briefed on the condition of the commercial market that was completely destroyed by Israeli air strikes.
In Nabatieh, Minister of Finance Yassin Jaber received the World Bank delegation at his home, in the presence of the Governor of Nabatieh, Houda Al-Turk. The meeting discussed the situation in the south and the damage caused to the towns as a result of the “continuous Israeli aggression,” in addition to reviewing the delegation’s impressions of what they saw on the ground.
Jaber presented Al-Mulla with a collection of books about Nabatieh by the researcher Ali Mazraani.
