
The committee consists of the following members:
“Gilbert Zio”: Head of the Jeita Grotto Department.
“Joanna Doummar”: Head of the Department of Earth Sciences at the American University of Beirut.
“Alain Abi Rizk”: Expert in agriculture and biodiversity at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik.
“Marlene Brax”: Director of the National Center for Geophysics representing the Ministry of Environment.
“Johnny Touq”: President of the Lebanese Speleological Club.
“Pierre Jaara”: Expert in sound and vibration isolation.
The committee immediately began its field work, visiting the grotto and conducting a comprehensive examination to assess any potential damage that may have resulted from the artistic event.
The committee is expected to submit its final report within a week, including its findings and detailed recommendations, including the establishment of strict regulatory controls for any future events that may be held inside the grotto, in order to preserve this unique natural landmark.
