Previously, accessing app pages was limited to searching only, with no ability to browse within the store. Clicking on an app link from a browser on a Mac would automatically open the “App Store” application, while users of other devices faced non-interactive pages.
Now, the new design allows browsing applications by category and device, with separate sections dedicated to “iPhone,” “iPad,” “Apple Watch,” and other apps, aiming to provide a clearer and more user-friendly interface compared to the previous system.
Although downloading applications directly via the web is not yet available, expectations indicate the possibility of supporting this feature in the future. This move is beneficial for developers and researchers working on multiple operating systems, even if the number of users browsing “iOS” applications from devices outside the Apple ecosystem is relatively limited.
