"Atari: A Return to the 80s with a Special Pac-Man Version for the Atari 2600"

Atari has announced a special edition of its classic Atari 2600+, this time in a bright yellow color inspired by the legendary game “Pac-Man,” in an effort to revive the memories of the 1980s generation and offer a classic design with a modern touch.

The new version is called the Atari 2600+ Pac-Man Edition and has become available for purchase after pre-orders opened last July.

According to a “gizmochina” report, the device is sold via “Amazon” for $169.99, slightly higher than the base price of the Atari 2600+ at $129.

This version is a tribute to one of the most famous arcade games in history, featuring a bright yellow paint job and engraved graphics of “Pac-Man” and the four ghosts on the front, as well as yellow control buttons that give the device a distinctive touch and special appeal.

Technically, the device retains the same specifications as the original version, such as the ability to run old cartridges and support wireless controllers, making it an ideal choice for classic game lovers who want to experience the past with a modern spirit.

Atari re-launched its famous Atari 2600+ in 2023 with a miniature design inspired by the original four-button wood model, combining nostalgia and modern technology at the same time.

Through this new release, Atari aims to strengthen its position in the reinvented classic games market, targeting the generation of players who grew up on “Pac-Man” and old arcade games, as well as those looking for a stylish and colorful experience that takes them back to the past. (Arabic)
