الصين تستهل حقبة المركبات الطائرة بإنتاج نموذجي لـ XPeng Aeroht (صور)

The Chinese company “XPeng” has announced the start of the pilot production phase of its flying cars in the first smart factory of its kind. This factory is located in Guangzhou and is dedicated to the production of electric vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft.

The factory belongs to the “XPeng Aeroht” division and spans a vast area of 120,000 square meters. Its initial production capacity reaches 5,000 units per year, with plans to increase it to 10,000 units. When operating at full capacity, the factory will be able to assemble one aircraft every half hour.

The new model represents a hybrid vehicle that combines a traditional car and a manned aircraft that seats two people. The aircraft can be detached from the rear of the car in just five minutes, allowing the owner to drive on roads or fly in the air with ease.

Commercial production and actual delivery are expected to begin in the first half of 2026. The vehicle will be launched for sale in the Chinese market first, at a price ranging between one million and two million yuan (equivalent to approximately 138 to 276 thousand dollars).

The vehicle features dimensions of 5.5 meters in length, width, and a height of approximately two meters. The car can accommodate four passengers, while the flight range is about 1000 kilometers on a single battery.

Despite the noticeable similarity between the design of this vehicle and Tesla’s “Cybertruck”, “XPeng” confirmed that the design is the result of its own vision, and that it is not inspired by any other model. (Russia Today)
