
The agency explained that the typhoon made landfall in the early hours of this morning, accompanied by winds estimated at about 150 kilometers per hour, with gusts reaching 205 kilometers per hour, and indicated that its path will continue through the Visayas island region before heading to the South China Sea by tomorrow, Wednesday.
Social media circulated images from Cebu City showing streets and cars completely flooded, while “DZRH” radio, via its Facebook page, showed videos of houses flooded in Talisay City, with only the roofs remaining.
The authorities also announced the cancellation of more than 160 flights to and from the affected areas and issued urgent warnings to ships and fishing boats to immediately head to the nearest safe port to avoid dangers.
