“Haidar” stressed that “employment is no longer a file that concerns one ministry, but has become a national issue that requires effective coordination between ministries and the public and private sectors.” He announced a partnership with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, praising the support and facilities provided by the Minister of Interior, to enable municipalities to provide the Ministry of Labor with accurate data on local competencies and job seekers in their areas.
He explained that “this step comes in the context of building a comprehensive national database that forms the basis for any effective policy to regulate the labor market.”
“Haidar” pointed out that “the ministry is working on launching a national digital platform under its supervision, to be a unified center for information on professions, skills, and available opportunities, which allows better coordination between the concerned parties, and helps in facilitating the process of linking job seekers and employers, without the ministry being a direct employment agency.”
He explained that “this platform will bring about a qualitative shift in the management of the employment file, as it relies on data, analysis, and cooperation between the state and the private sector.”
He praised the initiative of the Lebanese Private Sector Network (LPSN) to launch the project “100,000 job opportunities in four years,” which was announced by Mr. “Naeem El Zein” in the name of the network, and considered it a strategic step that reflects the private sector’s commitment to contributing to the revitalization of employment.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Labor supports this initiative and considers it complementary to its efforts in activating cooperation between various economic and social components.
In the same context, “Haidar” proposed the creation of a national employment task force comprising representatives from the public sector, universities, and the private sector, with the aim of developing a scientific and coordinated approach to addressing unemployment in a sustainable manner and keeping pace with the digital transformation in the labor market.
“Haidar” believes that “the next stage requires integrated cooperation between state institutions, the private sector, and academic institutions,” calling for unifying national efforts under a single vision that guarantees fair and sustainable opportunities and restores confidence in the state’s role as an effective partner in supporting the national economy.
“Haidar” stressed that “cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities is the cornerstone for the success of this vision, as it allows access to various Lebanese regions and the collection of reliable data on the workforce, enabling the state to develop accurate plans for development and employment.”
He affirmed that “what Lebanon is witnessing today in terms of cooperation and integration between sectors represents the beginning of a new path, entitled joint action to build an organized, productive, and fair labor market.”
