Sa’ar revealed that he received his German counterpart, Johann Wadephul, for talks focusing on the situation in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, in addition to a number of other hotspots in the region.
In a tweet on the “X” platform, the Israeli minister clarified: “I affirmed that the rearming of Hezbollah in Lebanon will have serious repercussions for Israel’s security and the future of Lebanon… Armed movements have taken root in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen over the past decades, and uprooting them is necessary for the region’s stability and security.”
Sa’ar affirmed that he will continue his efforts to strengthen relations with Germany, within the framework of the existing security and political cooperation between the two countries.
On the other hand, the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, MP Mohammad Raad, warned against the incitement of some internal voices to concede Lebanese sovereignty, stressing that any concession to Israel or showing understanding of its demands will not deter it from its blackmail and aggression.
Raad explained in statements today that the Lebanese resistance is still committed to the ceasefire agreement despite the continuous attacks launched by Israel on Lebanese territory, warning that some internal parties are seeking to undermine the representation of the resistance in Parliament.
Raad also reiterated the importance of forcing Israel to implement the truce agreement and withdraw from the lands it still occupies in the south.
