The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the readiness of its units to begin extracting the bodies of Israeli prisoners from the areas surrounding the “Yellow Line,” simultaneously and in all locations, as part of what it described as “ending the file of bodies.”

In a press statement issued today, the Brigades called on mediators and the International Committee of the Red Cross to provide and equip the necessary tools and teams to carry out the body extraction operations simultaneously, in order to ensure transparency and safety during the process.

The Brigades stated that yesterday they offered to hand over three samples of unidentified bodies in order to facilitate the handover process and not obstruct the efforts made, but the Israeli side refused to receive these samples and insisted on receiving the complete bodies. The Brigades indicated that it had handed over the samples in anticipation of any potential Israeli claims in this regard.

In a related context, Israeli media reported today, Saturday, that the bodies handed over by Hamas to Israel yesterday, Friday, are not the bodies of “Israeli abductees.”
