Hezbollah commemorated the memory of the two martyr Mujahideen, Hassan Ibrahim Suleiman “Abu Turab” and Hussein Ibrahim Suleiman “Hadi,” who were martyred on the road to Jerusalem, in a ceremony held in the southern town of Al-Bayyad. The event was attended by MPs Hassan Ezzedine and Hussein Jishi, members of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, along with the families of the two martyrs, a number of activists, figures, clergymen, and families of the martyrs, in addition to crowds of residents from the town and neighboring villages.

The ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then MP Hassan Ezzedine delivered a speech in which he affirmed that “the resistance that amazed the world and achieved an Arab, Lebanese, and Islamic dream by achieving the first victory over Israel in 2000 without any restrictions or conditions, must be preserved today with the blood of its martyrs and the ink of its scholars,” noting that it “remains an option and a daily behavior for every free person and rights holder who seeks to reach their right.”

Ezzedine added that “the resistance is still present and constitutes today a national and existential necessity for the survival of the nation, especially since the enemy has not forgotten its defeat and its expansionist project still poses an existential threat to Lebanon, and if it has the opportunity, it will invade our land and threaten our survival.”

In his speech about the American role, Ezzedine stated: “No one can mislead us or convince us that Israel controls the American administration, this is an illusion and incorrect, and Imam Khomeini, may his secret be sanctified, warned us against this view when he said that Israel is the creation of America. We saw with our own eyes after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood how the United States came with its armies and fleets to protect the entity.”

He also explained that “everything that America is doing today of pressure and political misinformation under glittering titles, aims to achieve what the enemy failed to achieve in the field through negotiations or normalization,” adding that “their use of terms such as technical or indirect negotiation is no longer acceptable to anyone, Lebanon will remain a free, sovereign, independent Arab nation with its identity and belonging, and will not allow anyone to turn it into an American protectorate or an Israeli settlement as long as there is blood pulsing in us.”

Ezzedine called on the Lebanese government “to return to studying national priorities carefully as stated in its ministerial statement, where it placed addressing Israeli attacks and the file of construction and reconstruction at the forefront, but it returned and forgot that, especially after the crime committed by the enemy in Al-Bayyad, which led to the martyrdom of the brothers Hassan and Hussein Ibrahim Suleiman, and after the described attack that occurred in the town of Blida, and what followed of a moving death from village to village and from city to city.”

He continued, saying: “The Israeli transgression has reached a dangerous level when its soldiers entered the municipality of Blida, one of the state’s institutions, and killed in cold blood, in a scene of continuous transgression that affected Msayleh, Adloun, Nabatieh, Konin and others, targeting the prestige and sovereignty of the state.”

MP Ezzedine added: “Faced with this reality that is no longer tolerable, the state must provide protection and care for its citizens, and the government must call for an emergency session to discuss all available options to deter the enemy and stop the attacks, taking advantage of its diplomatic and political relations with allied and friendly countries, whether Arab or Western.”

He asked: “Why doesn’t the government issue a national political decision authorizing the leadership of the Lebanese army to take the necessary measures to repel attacks and prevent the enemy from violating Lebanese sovereignty?”, reminding of the position of the disappeared Imam Sayed Musa al-Sadr in 1976 in the town of Al-Taybeh, when he called on the state to release the political decision for the Lebanese national army, which is ready to fight the Zionist enemy after a series of attacks that were taking place at that time.

In conclusion, Ezzedine affirmed that “the file of reconstruction and rebuilding, which the government announced is one of its priorities, must be brought back to the forefront and practically begin implementing the compensation and reconstruction workshops.”
