
Kanaan affirmed that the municipalities of Metn belong to all residents of the region, and insisted on his support for them to meet their needs without preference or favoritism. He added that development in Metn will include the coast, the middle, and the highlands, and that the problems of the residents will be solved through tangible positive action. He also revealed an increase in the public works budget in Metn within the 2026 budget.
Kanaan also pointed out his continued support for the Dahr al-Bashek Governmental Hospital, in addition to raising the coverage ceiling in private hospitals in Metn, and seeking to secure an appropriate budget befitting Metn and its residents.
He added: “Our goal is to build the state that we cannot live without, and we will unite behind our army and institutions to achieve sovereignty, stability, and activate investments.”
In conclusion, Kanaan affirmed: “We stood and stand against writing off deposits, and our struggle is not distorted by those affected or by owners of fictitious accounts.”
