At the Druze Community House in Beirut, the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unification Community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, received the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari. The meeting addressed a number of issues of common interest on the Lebanese and regional scenes, in addition to discussing the latest developments.

In the context of spiritual and dialogical meetings, Sheikh Abi Al-Muna met with Archbishops Boulos Matar and Charbel Murad, carrying to him the greetings of the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Al-Rahi, and extending a formal invitation to him to attend the celebration scheduled for November 8 in Bkerke, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the issuance of the historical document “Nostra Aetate” by the Second Vatican Council in 1965.

This meeting represented an opportunity to emphasize the importance of Islamic-Christian dialogue, and the need to strengthen the values ​​of fraternity and understanding among all citizens, with reference to the expected positive effects of His Holiness the Pope’s visit to Lebanon at the end of next November.

The Sheikh Akl also received the editor-in-chief of the “Al Liwaa” newspaper, Salah Salam.

The list of visitors to the Community House also included retired brigadier generals: Anwar Yahya, Munir Shaaban, and Malek Abdel Khalek.
