By order of President Donald Trump, US forces yesterday, Monday, carried out three precise strikes targeting four ships involved in the drug trade in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated through his X account that, at the direction of President Trump, the Department of War carried out three deadly precision strikes on four ships operated by designated terrorist organizations and trafficking drugs in the eastern Pacific Ocean, confirming that the four ships were known to US intelligence, moving along known trafficking routes and carrying drugs.

Hegseth indicated that the strikes resulted in the death of 14 “drug terrorists” and the wounding of one survivor, explaining that the operations took place in international waters without American forces sustaining any damage. He added that Southern Command immediately began search and rescue protocols, and that Mexican search and rescue authorities accepted the case and coordinated the rescue operation.

Hegseth confirmed that the American administration has spent more than two decades defending other countries, and that it is now defending itself, pointing out that these “drug terrorists” have killed more Americans than Al-Qaeda, and that they will be treated in the same way: they will be tracked down, hunted, and killed.

It is noteworthy that President Trump had previously informed Congress that the country was in a state of “armed conflict” with drug cartels, which the administration classified as terrorist organizations.
