Lebanon Today

Lebanon is witnessing, according to MP Ali Khreis, a member of the Development and Liberation Bloc, a very difficult period considered among the most dangerous stages in its modern history.

The MP explained that there are actors within Lebanese territory who are striving to revive an old equation based on the idea that “Lebanon’s strength lies in its weakness.”

In the context of his participation in a ceremony honoring girls held at the house of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahraa, Khreis clarified that “there are those who want Lebanon to move away from confronting the Israeli enemy, and to abandon its elements of strength: resistance, unity of the people, and the army.”

He stressed that Lebanon has never started aggression, but rather Israel continues its attacks on a daily basis, confirming Lebanon’s commitment to what its leaders have announced in terms of positions aimed at defending its sovereignty.

Khreis added: “We have offered martyrs in defense of the homeland, foremost among them the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and thousands of his comrades who were martyred so that Lebanon remains strong, dear, and impregnable, not in order to weaken it.”

In conclusion, he emphasized that national unity is the best way to achieve victory, despite the difficulty of the current stage, adding: “We can face and win as long as we remain united.”
