Iran has renewed its sharp criticism of the policies pursued by the United States of America.

Esmail Baghaei, the official spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated during the weekly press conference held today, Tuesday, that the possibility of an American military attack on Iran still exists at any moment.

Baghaei affirmed that past bitter experiences have taught us that “all options have always been on the table,” calling on all concerned parties to keep this historical background in mind when entering into any future negotiations, and added: “Therefore, we must remain in a state of constant readiness.”

The spokesperson also pointed out that the American behavior, which he described as conflicting with international law, has been repeated many times, stressing that Tehran will build its future negotiating positions based on its previous experience with the American side.

Regarding relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Baghaei explained that Tehran will continue to cooperate with the Agency in accordance with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and the Safeguards Agreement, as well as in accordance with the decisions of the Iranian Parliament. He pointed out that the suspension of cooperation that occurred in July 2025 came as a reaction to the escalation of tension that followed the military confrontations in June 2025.

It is worth mentioning that those confrontations broke out following Israeli raids targeting sites inside Iranian territory in June, followed by American strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities. Tehran responded to this by launching missiles and drones at targets in Israel. Tehran adopted a harsh tone towards the Agency at that time, accusing it of failing to condemn the Israeli attacks on its facilities.

The Agency indicates that Iran is enriching uranium to a level of up to 60%, which is a percentage considered close to the technical level required to move to higher enrichment (about 90%) for the purpose of producing nuclear weapons, according to the Agency’s data. This situation increases the seriousness of any military or diplomatic tension that may develop into a wider confrontation in the region.
