Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al-Hajjar held a series of important meetings in his office, where he received at the beginning of his day the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Firas Abiad, in the presence of the Governor of Baalbek-Hermel, Bashir Khodr, and the Mayor of Harfata.

The discussions revolved around the current health conditions and medical services provided in the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, in addition to discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministries of Interior and Health at the field and logistical levels, with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to citizens.

In another meeting, Minister Al-Hajjar received MP Wael Abu Faour, where they exchanged views on a number of developmental and service issues of interest to the region.

In a context related to the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections, Ahmad Al-Hajjar chaired an expanded administrative meeting in the presence of the specialized work team, and the meeting was devoted to following up on the latest developments in the administrative and logistical preparations related to the electoral process.

The Minister also chaired another meeting dealing with the quarries file, which was attended by the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, and a number of governors and concerned officers. During the meeting, mechanisms for organizing the work of quarries legally were discussed, and work to control violations and abuses related to this sector.

In the context of strengthening diplomatic relations, the Minister of Interior received the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Milan Trojanovic, accompanied by Counselor Sasa Uzdanjic. The meeting dealt with ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields of common interest.

Minister Al-Hajjar concluded his meetings by receiving a delegation from AUL University headed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Mustafa Hamza, where a number of academic issues were discussed, and potential areas of cooperation between the Ministry and the University were reviewed.
