This evening, MP “Ibrahim Kanaan” stated via his account on the “X” platform that the news circulating about the discovery of a rocket inside a car in the Sed El Bouchrieh area is incorrect.
Kanaan wrote: “I contacted the security services regarding the spread of news about finding a rocket inside a car in Sed El Bouchrieh, and they reported that there is no rocket or anything like that, but rather an “empty casing” from the days of the war that was left behind, its owner moved it to a “van” and left it in its place 10 days ago.”
Earlier, a security source told that an empty rocket casing was found inside a “van” type car parked for days in a residential neighborhood in the town, and indicated that members of the Bouchrieh municipal police discovered the metal object while carrying out routine procedures related to the removal of abandoned cars.
Later, it turned out that the rocket was old and unusable, and a unit of Lebanese Army Intelligence attended the site, pulled the car, and opened an investigation to find out the circumstances of its presence in the populated area.
