US President Donald Trump stated that the operations targeting the leadership of “Hezbollah,” including the “Bigger” bombings, were carried out with his knowledge and direct supervision, and in full cooperation with Israel.
In an interview with “The Times” on Thursday, Trump confirmed that “Tel Aviv” appreciated the United States and was committed to continuous coordination with it in all its steps.
Trump criticized the performance of former President Barack Obama’s administration, considering that it “mistreated Israel” and linked its policy to Iran through the nuclear agreement, which he described as a “stupid deal,” adding that “this approach was about to give Tehran the ability to obtain nuclear weapons.”
Trump also explained that the current developments in the region, from the decline in the influence of some powers to the path of normalization between Arab countries and Israel, reflect a “real reshaping of the Middle East” that began during his term, stressing that the new alliances “are developing positively.”
He hinted that “the continuation of these changes depends on the presence of strong American leadership,” warning that “the arrival of a weak or incompetent president after him may cause the United States to lose its position and end the path it started.”
