“Economy” Department Issues Violation Reports in Akkar for Exceeding Official Kilowatt Price.

In the context of its continuous efforts to ensure the implementation of laws and protect consumer rights, the North Department of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, under the direct guidance of the Minister of Economy and Trade: “Amer Al-Bisat,” has taken decisive measures towards a number of private generator owners in the Halba – Akkar area.

These measures resulted in the organization of seven seizure reports against the violators, due to their non-compliance with the official price per kilowatt set by the Ministry of Energy and Water.

The Ministry of Economy and Trade affirmed that this step comes within the framework of its intensive efforts to enhance strict control over the generator sector, and to ensure that its owners adhere to the official announced prices, in order to protect the rights of citizens and address any attempt at exploitation or manipulation.

The ministry also affirmed that it will continue its intensive field tours in various regions, and that it will not tolerate any violation that is detected, and it will be dealt with in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
