Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced outages that affected connectivity to many popular sites and applications. The platform pointed to “high error rates” in requests directed to the DynamoDB database, confirming the detection of “significant indicators of service recovery” after taking measures to address the problem.

The “Amazon Web Services” (AWS) platform, belonging to the American “Amazon” group, announced on Monday the occurrence of technical malfunctions that resulted in great difficulties in connecting to a number of well-known sites and applications, including “Amazon,” “Snapchat,” and “Fortnite.”

The official maintenance website reported “high error rates in requests directed” to the “DynamoDB” database, a database widely used in many applications, websites, and electronic games.

The platform did not disclose the reasons behind this technical defect, but at 09:27 GMT, it indicated the detection of “significant indicators of service recovery” after taking “initial measures” to address this problem.

It is worth noting that “AWS” is a leading cloud computing platform, providing companies with an integrated package of on-demand services, including storage, database, and artificial intelligence services. The “Down Detector” website reported that users of dozens of sites and applications faced technical problems on Monday morning.

Aravind Srinivas, CEO of “Perplexity,” confirmed via the “X” platform that the company’s artificial intelligence software is “currently unavailable” as a result of this outage in “AWS,” noting that the team is making intensive efforts to fix this problem as soon as possible.

These outages also affected “Airbnb,” “Instagram,” “Steam,” “Roblox,” and “Brawl Stars,” in addition to some telecommunications companies, such as the French companies “Orange,” “Bouygues Telecom,” and “SFR.” (“Arm News”)
