This tour witnessed fruitful meetings with a number of members of the esteemed Lebanese community, in addition to a group of senior European officials. His Excellency believes that this tour comes at a time of great sensitivity and accuracy on the political and security levels in Lebanon, in light of the intensifying discussions about the upcoming parliamentary elections, the necessary reconstruction files, the complex relationship with the Syrian Arab Republic, and the issue of Hezbollah’s weapons, in addition to the escalating tension as a result of the repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement signed on the twenty-seventh of November.

He affirmed that the Lebanese communities he met in Europe feel deep concern about the economic and political collapse, but they express a clear desire to contribute to reconstruction and reform, calling on the state to ensure their political participation and protect their electoral rights.
