A Hezbollah official affirmed that resistance is the only way to confront Israel, stressing the importance of the state’s role in reconstructing the affected areas. He also emphasized the steadfastness of the resistance approach, following the school of Karbala, and Hezbollah’s support for the people in all circumstances.
Hussein Al-Nimr, the official of the Bekaa region in Hezbollah, stated that “resistance is the only solution in confronting the Zionist enemy,” declaring that this enemy is “an evil entity based on killing, occupation, and expansion, and only understands the language of force.”
Al-Nimr’s statements came during a memorial ceremony held by Hezbollah in cooperation with the families of the martyrs in the Bekaa town of Al-Hafir, in the presence of social, party, municipal, and religious figures, in addition to the families of the martyrs. He affirmed that “resistance is the only way to restore the land, no matter how small, and Lebanon cannot regain a single inch of its land except through resistance.”
In a related context, Al-Nimr called on the Lebanese state to bear its responsibilities in reconstructing what was left by the Israeli aggression, pointing out that this task “falls first on the state, because its sons have made sacrifices in defense of the homeland,” warning that “the state should not ignore its people or dance on their blood.”
Regarding the electoral matter, Al-Nimr stated that “the people of the resistance have proven in all entitlements, especially after the Battle of Uli al-Baas, that they are a solid society in their positions and presence,” pointing out that the wide participation in the municipal elections and condolences for the leaders of the resistance reflected “the renewal of the covenant and steadfastness on the option of resistance,” adding: “We are heading to the upcoming parliamentary elections to renew the covenant with Hezbollah.”
He reaffirmed that the resistance approach is based on the school of Karbala, adding: “If Imam Hussein (AS) had remained alone, he would not have retreated. And so are we, if we remain alone, we will not give up our just causes. Palestine will remain our first Qibla.”
Al-Nimr concluded his speech by affirming that “Hezbollah will remain alongside the people in all circumstances,” calling for social solidarity, and directing a salute of reverence and respect to the families of the martyrs, whom he described as “the beacon of the road and the beating heart of the nation,” considering that the town of Al-Hafir deserves the title “town of the martyrs.”
