MP Hussein Hajj Hassan Emphasizes the Need for the Government to Assume Its Responsibilities

MP Hussein Hajj Hassan affirmed the necessity of the government assuming its responsibilities, pointing to the ongoing Israeli aggression under American cover, and the need for steadfastness and resilience in the face of this challenge. He also stressed the importance of the government convening to discuss the Israeli attacks and take steps to stop them, and to push for Israeli withdrawal, the return of prisoners, and reconstruction.

Member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, MP Dr. Hussein Hajj Hassan, from a positive standpoint, called on the government to fulfill its responsibilities as defined in the inaugural address and the ministerial statement, stressing that everyone is concerned with this matter, especially those in charge who bear the burden of decision-making and political and diplomatic contacts.

In the context of a speech he delivered during the funeral of the former head of the women’s organizations in the third sector in the Bekaa region, Hajja Laila Hajj Hassan, and in the presence of a crowd of social and municipal figures, in addition to a group of scholars, families of martyrs, and residents of the town, he pointed to the prominent role played by the deceased in building Islamic society, expressing his deep sorrow for her loss, praising her diligent work for the sake of God, and her good qualities as a mother and wife, and stressing that her memory and good impact will remain forever in the hearts of her loved ones, especially in the women’s organizations and among the people of the town and the region, asking the Almighty God to grant her His mercy and admit her to His spacious gardens.

Regarding the continuous Israeli attacks, he pointed to the martyrdom of one of the sons of Shamshtar and the fall of martyrs and wounded in the south, stressing that we are facing an escalating Zionist aggression with full American cover, and that this constitutes a test, trial, and challenge that requires us to stand firm and steadfast in confronting it, pointing to the clarity of the American position and the Israeli demands.

He explained that the Americans and Israelis, as “Barak” stated in his recent interview, and as some in Lebanon forget, adopt a vision of the conflict in the region that there are two parties in conflict, and that one party will win, and the other party must comply and submit, and that peace is nothing but an illusion, and that Israel does not intend to withdraw from the five points, but wants to move in the region wherever it wants, whenever it wants, and however it wants, stressing that in light of this clear American talk, some should not fall prey to deception by any American, Israeli, or European talk.

He added that Israel claims that it is bombing facilities belonging to “Hezbollah” and the resistance, while in reality, for weeks, it has been targeting civilian facilities consisting of companies working in the field of concrete, asphalt, bulldozers, crushers, and bulldozers, and in areas far from the villages of the edge, in a clear message that there is a red line in front of reconstruction, especially in the villages of the edge, and this is in light of European, American, and Western collusion that extends to other parties, and this is the essence of the current American project: preventing reconstruction and paving the way for expansion projects that “Netanyahu” did not hide when he stated that Israel does not respect the borders of Sykes-Picot.

Hajj Hassan affirmed that in the face of these challenges, and in light of everyone’s talk about the state, the sovereignty of the state, and the protection of the state for its citizens, the question arises: how, when, and by what means will this be achieved? He pointed out that Lebanon submitted a complaint to the Security Council after a long wait of nearly ten months of continuous Zionist aggression, following the raids on Siniya and Al-Najariya, considering this a significant development.

In conclusion, he stressed the need for the government to meet as soon as possible to discuss all these attacks and determine the measures it intends to take to stop the aggression, and to push for the imposition of Israeli withdrawal, the return of prisoners, and reconstruction, stressing that these matters are essential and self-evident if we are talking about sovereignty, the state, institutions, and national dignity.

The government must seriously address these challenges and translate its words into tangible actions. The stage requires a comprehensive national stand that transcends narrow political divisions and puts the interest of the nation and the citizen above all consideration.
