Demands to rebuild the South and support the displaced, with emphasis on protecting workers in the reconstruction file and residents, and condemnation of threats.
The Speaker of Parliament received today, Sunday, representatives of the “Assembly of Sons of the Southern Border Towns,” and received from them a list of demands and proposals aimed at improving the conditions of the border villages extending from Naqoura to Shebaa. The demands focused on the need to immediately remove the effects of the destruction and launch reconstruction projects, in addition to providing the necessary support to families who were displaced due to recent events, as well as supporting those returning to their homes.
The Speaker of Parliament affirmed that the Israeli message was clearly received after the targeting of vehicles in Al-Mseileh. He expressed his strong condemnation of the threats against representatives of the Assembly, stressing his categorical rejection of any threat or attack targeting workers in reconstruction projects or safe civilians in the South. He asked in condemnation: “Has the olive harvest season become a violation of the ceasefire agreement?”.
For their part, the representatives of the Assembly expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Speaker of Parliament for his support and solidarity with the people of the South, for his continued efforts to protect the region and its residents, and for his commitment to rebuilding what was destroyed by the events.
The Speaker of Parliament pledged to follow up on the issue of threats and address them, and affirmed his full support for the legitimate demands of the people of the border villages and to work towards achieving them.
