Anticipated MacBook Pro Update with M5 Chip, Performance Improvements, and Potential New Design.
Apple is preparing to launch a new generation of MacBook Pro laptops this month, according to an announcement by one of the company’s executives.
Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak, posted a teaser on X showing a laptop with a V-shaped design and a blue color, hinting at something powerful coming. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman confirmed these speculations, noting that the teaser relates to the M5 MacBook Pro.

Indications in the teaser suggest that the device will be powered by the new Apple M5 chip, as the “V” shape is interpreted as the Roman numeral 5, and the five letters in the word “Mmmmmm” used in the caption may be another reference to the new processor.
According to previous reports, the MacBook Pro M5, codenamed J714 or J716, is expected to come in a single 14-inch version with a 10-core CPU.
In terms of performance, leaks suggest that the M5 chip may achieve 12% faster multi-core CPU performance and up to 36% faster GPU performance compared to the previous generation M4.
In terms of design, the device is likely to offer a new blue color, similar to the sky blue option available in the current MacBook Air series. However, apart from the updated chip, the upcoming laptop is not expected to include any other major upgrades.
