New updates for Spotify’s “DJ” include support for written requests and Spanish language, as well as personalized suggestions for users.
Spotify has launched an interactive version of its AI-powered “DJ,” which allows users to request songs instantly. Initially, the feature relied on voice commands only, but the company is now adding support for written requests. In addition, the DJ gets Spanish language support and offers quick personalized suggestions.
According to “9to5mac,” the first version of the AI-powered DJ interaction feature was experimental. Spotify has collected user feedback over the past few months and has now released some improvements aimed at encouraging more users to try and adopt it.
- Written Requests: Spotify responded to user requests by adding this feature, where they can now type their music requests in addition to voice interaction. This feature is especially useful in public or crowded places.
- Spanish Language Support: The DJ Livi application was launched in 2024 for Spanish-speaking users and now supports written and voice requests, making it similar to the English-speaking DJ.
- Personalized Suggestions: The DJ will also offer three quick personalized suggestions, which is a great way to teach users the capabilities of the feature and recommend songs and playlists that match their listening habits.
