Trump explained: “It was said that the Middle East is a place that could raise huge problems like World War III, but that will not happen. We do not want a world war to start anywhere, and that will not happen.”
Trump’s statements came during the summit, which was held at a joint initiative between him and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in which leaders from the United States, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and a number of other countries participated, where a document was signed regarding the agreement on a ceasefire and the release of detainees in Gaza.
Trump had previously stressed that the war in Gaza had ended and that humanitarian aid had begun to flow, stressing that there was “a real opportunity to achieve peace for the first time in a long time.”
