The Governor of Beirut, Judge Marwan Abboud, received, in his office, at the Municipal Palace, the former Egyptian Minister of Environment and Director of the Regional Center for Training and Technology Transfer for Arab Countries, Dr. Mustafa Hussein Kamel.
The Public Relations Department of the Beirut Municipality stated in a statement, “The meeting discussed the environmental challenges facing the city of Beirut and ways to address them. It was agreed that the center would provide technical support to support the municipality in finding sustainable solutions to some of these problems.”
She pointed out that “a memorandum of cooperation is scheduled to be signed between the Municipality of Beirut and the Regional Center for Training and Technology Transfer early next week, which will consolidate the partnership in the field of environmental protection and enhance integrated environmental management in the capital.”
